BCMA Monthly Contest November 2026

Contest instructions

  • This contest contains five proof problems graded out of 7 points each. A complete and clearly explained solution to each problem is required for full points.

  • Work independently. Do not use AI tools, online searches, published solutions, or help from other people.

  • You may type your solutions or upload clear photographs or PDFs of handwritten work. If you choose to use handwritten work, label each solution with its problem number.

  • An incorrect or partially correct solution may still receive partial credit.

  • You may share the contest problems, but do not discuss approaches or share solutions until the contest closes.

  • Solutions will be reviewed manually after the contest closes. Scores and results will not appear automatically.

No personal time limit. Save and submit before the contest closes at .

Saving and submitting

Valid answers are saved automatically while you are connected. Wait for server confirmation before closing this page. In live grading, autosave backs up drafts; use Save all answers to server to submit them for grading. Automatic submission starts in the final 3 seconds so uploads can reach the server before the deadline. Save regularly; do not rely on the final upload if your connection is interrupted.

You can change answers until your time ends. The last answer saved on the server counts.

You can flag questions, navigate with Back and Next, and review all answers before submitting. Early submission sends device answers to the server and locks your answers.

You may use your account on multiple devices. Your attempt and official answers are shared. If two devices edit the same answer, choose which version to keep when a conflict appears.

Activity recording

This contest records copy and paste events for organizer review. Written solutions are not tracked keystroke by keystroke; your solution is still saved automatically. See our Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) for details.

Contest integrity

Follow the contest rules and use only permitted materials. Do not obtain unauthorized assistance or share contest questions or answers while the contest remains open.

Cheating, unauthorized assistance, or using multiple accounts to bypass contest restrictions may result in disqualification when organizer review finds strong evidence of a rule violation. Recorded page activity alone does not establish misconduct. Answer snapshots are stored redacted, with a per-contest digest, length, and short prefix. This lets reviewers compare attempts without reading exact keystrokes. See our Terms of Service (opens in a new tab) for the disqualification and review rules.

Your account and official results

You can participate without an account. Your score stays hidden and your result remains unofficial until you create an account or log in.

You have 24 hours after finishing to save your results. You can leave and return in the same browser to claim all eligible attempts. Keep this browser’s cookies so we can recognize your work.

Written questions and proofs accept typed solutions and PDF/photo uploads. Save text and upload files before your timer ends. Organizers mark these questions after the contest closes, and may award partial marks. Scores remain provisional while grading is pending.

No personal time limit; the contest closing time still applies.
